    (2) 'Tudor' roses.

    (3 & 4) Probably 'village worthies'.

    (5) A fool/jester.

    2. Of course, I hadn't spotted that.
    3. & 4. Most likely.
    5. or a simpleton.
    6. I thought might be a local churchman, the hint of horns in the hair and the bovine ears together with the pompous expression suggesting a person of absolute conviction of his own importance with a total absence of imagination.
    7. I wondered possibly a local saint or nun?
    8 & 9. Are leonine and bovine respectively, possibly heraldic badges of a local dignitary?
