Couldn't agree more, apart from 50% of the items (2, 5, 6a, and possibly7). (sorry about labeling two items 6, they're unrelated). So 5 out of 10 for your correctness over the medical stuff. I had hoped for some assistance with item 7 as it is tickling memory neurons which at present are refusing to respond; something to do with sock or glove production I think... (or I may be confused with the fastenings of a flat-iron slipper). {Aha, could it be a device for inserting the hot core of a box-iron?}
1 is a for taking a dental cast. 2 is a Roman toilet, themed for charioteers to use if nervous before a race. 3 & 4 are gender specific pewter syringes for applying mercury internally. 5 is a can opener for the chyrurgeon's baked bean lunch. 6 b is an antique lithotrite for breaking up calculus vesicalis.
Medical instruments - best left to the specialists!

DeleteP.s. 6a is almost certainly a coral item for a teething infant.
ReplyDeleteFull marks for that Mike, although you took your time to chew it over.
